Nice to virtually meet you! Here's what you need to know about me.

When a ‘good career’ stops feeling like the right one, it can be hard to know what to do next. I spent two decades building a career across Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and startups – one that looked great on paper but eventually felt out of sync with the life I wanted to build.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak and a curiosity about what else was possible – different ways of working, business ownership models, and paths that felt more aligned with how I wanted to live. I explored those interests on the side, but they never quite fit within the structure of corporate roles or the balance I wanted.

At the same time, the part of my day job that stuck with me most wasn’t the high-profile brands or business wins – it was the people. Mentoring, supporting my teams’ growth, celebrating shared successes, and having honest conversations about what was and wasn’t working for them.

Those two threads – a pull toward new possibilities and a desire for more meaningful work – made it clear I needed a more intentional way to evaluate what was next.

Working with a career ownership coach gave me that structure. By getting clear on my values and priorities, I explored a range of paths with intention and open eyes – ultimately stepping away from corporate life. More importantly, I defined what I wanted my time, income, equity, and lifestyle to look and feel like.

That experience is what led me to this work. Now I help others do the same – offering a structured process, an empathetic ear, real accountability, and thoughtfully challenging beliefs that may not be grounded in reality.

Whether someone feels stuck or simply curious about what else might be possible, we take a grounded, intentional approach to clarifying what matters and exploring aligned opportunities –  often ones they didn’t realize were available to them.

On a personal note, I live in Minneapolis with my wife and our two daughters – family is number one in my world. Outside of work, I’m a musician, a long‑suffering Minnesota sports fan, and someone who feels most grounded on remote wilderness canoe trips in the pristine waters and boreal forests of northern Minnesota. Those parts of my life shape how I think about time, tradeoffs, and what a well‑designed life can look like.

There’s never any cost to my clients to work with me (really!) and never any pressure. We simply start by talking through where you are and using a framework to explore what your next chapter could look like. I hope we’ll have the chance to explore what’s possible together.

“I started with just me and one truck, working out of my garage. I now have four employees, and I am in a commercial space. The earnings potential is pretty well limitless at this point. I am busy. I do have to spend time away from my family just as I did before. But now, if I want to stay home and cook my kids breakfast, I can. On nice sunny days, if I want to cut out early to take the kids swimming, I do. I don’t just have weekends to choose from anymore.”
